Lying ashore near St.Malo in Brittany, France. Actually on the trailer at my house. I live close to St.Malo and would be very happy to collect any potential buyers from the ferry port (Brittany Ferries ex-Portsmouth) or Dinard airport (Ryanair ex-Stanstead or East Midlands) or Rennes airport (Flybe Southampton or Exeter.)
I would also be happy to deliver the boat by road to anywhere in the UK at cost (ferry + diesel). This also applies if anyone is interested in buying the boat without the trailer, though a crane/boat hoist would need to be organised.
Cygnus is in reasonably good condition, though would benefit from a bit of tlc. This was always my intention when we bought her four years ago, but much to my annoyance, it became a case of, “that’ll be alright – we’ll do that bit next season”. So we went sailing, instead of doing the tlc thing. That said, she is in much better shape than when we first owned her. In short, she is not quite in boat-show condition, but we have been sailing very happily as is. One of the pictures shows some scratches in the gelcoat on the stbd side which are not through the gelcoat, but are a bit too deep to polish out.
Semi-genuine reason for selling (family pressure has forced the purchase of a bigger boat)
Asking £4,500 or reasonable offer. Also open to offers without the trailer.
